We have reached our numbered allotted slots this year 2021
Impacting lives, restoring dignity and empowering those in need. By offering A "Hand Up" not a hand out! A Hand Up Single Parent Ministry provides a“Hand Up” and avoids the traditional response of a “Hand Out”. We focus our efforts on developing programs to encourage, equip and empower those who want, and are willing, to change their circumstances. People need a “Hand Up” and an opportunity to overcome a tough season of life. Each person will have a unique journey and we are intentional to build a foundation that helps to establish abilities and good habits that provide for long-term success. |
Our program under Freedom Fire Ministry Inc, is called A Hand Up, where we believe in offering a hand up not a handout. This year are not only helping with gifts for the children of single parents, but our hearts desire is to especially help Single Mothers, who are trying their hardest to fill all the roles of keeping a roof over their children’s heads, as well as pay all the bills, put food on the table and gas in the car. They don’t need a handout; they need a hand up.
We offer a program that helps with rent, utilities and daily essentials. From clothing, to gas, oil changes, mechanical issues with cars, as well as Christmas gifts for their children. But we do not stop there, we have a desire to assist and mentor throughout the entire year, not just Christmas.
We believe in transform/reform/impact/build/expand /Impacting lives/ restoring dignity/ and empowering those in need. By offering A "Hand Up" not a hand out!
The A Hands Up Ministry is committed to improving the lives of single mothers by providing bible studies and education in 4 core areas:.
Parenting, Finances, Health & Wellness and Freedom Steps
We have developed a 90 day program called Freedom Steps which is developed to deal with any life controlling issue. Getting to the roots of things and helping develop a sound, stable life.
It is a weekly gathering where one has teaching and group sessions
Ps 68:5-6 A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation. 6 God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
Today I we want to cast before you, for in Habekuk 2:2 it say's “Write the vision make it plain”, today we want to write that vision upon your hearts and make it plain.
We are about transitioning and impacting the lives of the Single Mothers / Dads that attend and are touched by the Father during our programs and services.
It is about bringing the Great Exchange, tapping into the need, uncovering the brokenness and heart in this area, and putting action to those areas. We want to target with the love of the Father in a restorative way. Our hearts desire is to meet the daily needs and struggles, going beyond Christmas and into everyday life. Bringing the Exchange that the Father has for everyplace that life has torn them.
We have since last year 2018? seen a great Engaging in phase 2 of bringing about the " A Hand Up” program, and an amazing response to the Overcomer Program. In 2020 we will offer our new program Freedom Steps. We touched many families with food and hygiene boxes this year, bibles and a copy of our promise books, we were able to participate in finding jobs, homes, and home furnishings. We have seen the course in action with building relationships and watching families advance.
This year we want to focus on the relational end of these amazing mothers that are coming. Get to know them in a deeper way. We want to not only share about the amazing Christmas Event, but go deeper into their brokenness and help them in true life needs. Becoming a family unto those without families. Granting Spiritual Support as well as everyday needs.
We do have this year (2019?) several single mothers from last year (2018?) that are in both programs, so we are making a difference. We have helped many in filling out online applications for jobs, and housing. Watching them gain success in their brokenness is amazing. We now have an office set up with online ability for this to help them in these ways.
We also host monthly meetings where we do one on one mentoring.
We have joined with one of the chartered ministries which is under our covering and umbrella and host two church services a week in which we pour into the lives of the single parent. We service the El-Reno, Yukon, Okc, Hinton, Weatherford, Calumet, and surrounding areas.
It has been such a bless that we have been able to build many relationships. This year some of those mothers are helping with the program instead of being helped. That was our desire. To share the love of God and help bring them to a place where they are able to give back and literally become the one who pays it forward.
Every portion donated will be given to help in the needs of single parents, there is NO ADMINISTRATION FEE"S, 100 % of the donation goes to helping these single parents. From our hearts to yours, thank you!

A “Hand Up” Ministry
Some of our Single Parents and families getting baptised
Look at this amazing testimony of how much the ministry blesses lives...

I wanted to share a testimony that came to me last year from one of the ladies in which we had the pleasure of being brought into her life, she sent this to me on facebook, and began sharing with me how much her life had changed since then. She now pores into other people . Here is her story:
Today has been an amazing day! For those of you who don't know, I went to a Christmas church function. I went for what I thought would be basically for my children. I contemplated whether I even had the energy to go, especially on my only day off, and it was almost an hour drive... Alone. Registration was to begin at 9, meaning I would have to get up by 7 to get ready and allow for extra time since I had never been there. So, as all of these EXCUSES kept creeping up, I felt something pushing me to get out of my warm bed (where I literally could have slept all day)... I started getting ready, still questioning if I should crawl back in bed... I decided to go ahead and go. I was already awake, had already spent time finding something to wear, and didn't figure I could easily go back to sleep anyway.
As I merged onto I-40, I had this overwhelming feeling that I would probably spend the day in tears. But I continued on, actually posting quickly on Facebook that I already felt that I would be in tears and still thanking my friend for referring me to this lady ( Kristi Highwalker) and this church. At this point, still in the mindset that I was doing this for my kids. So, I easily find the Ministry and find a parking spot, and in I go.
I register and sit down waiting for the Sanctuary to be ready for everyone to be seated. As the doors opened and everyone started entering to find a seat, I found myself being ushered to THE FRONT ROW!! Those of you who truly know me, know that I am usually the one trying to find a seat a few rows back, especially if I'm alone in a new place!
After a short while, the music started playing, already bringing tears to my eyes... What is wrong with me?? It's beautiful singing, nothing more! Pull yourself together! Then it's time for the speakers. The pastor and his wife, etc... More tears!! What is going on?? Then the most amazing, beautiful woman starts speaking (Kristi Highwalker).
She starts telling her personal story, more tears!! By now, where's the Kleenex? And at that moment, she walks straight to me. Oh no! Don't call me out... Don't make me cry more! Too late! She spoke to me, holding her fingers under my chin so I couldn't look away, and the tears won't stop!! I felt His presence ALL. DAY. LONG. Jesus spoke to me today!! His messenger delivered His message with beauty, DIRECTLY TO ME!! This was a day for ME... Not my kids as I had conned myself into believing!!
Thank you Vanessa Valli for sending Kristi Highwalker to me for my message!! She's phenomenal! This Church is definitely worth the drive! I will be back, this time with my family!!
